Richard Gonyeau

Richard's debut solo album began as a soundtrack to Eugene Ionesco's "Le Lecon," a play which he directed at SUNY Potsdam in the Autumn 2001 theatre season. The songs were initially used for the show and nothing more. In 2003, he returned from an extended stay in England with 5 new songs. The combination of these two recordings led Label 11 to remaster and release the tracks under the title, Acoustic Stylings. Although he believes the work to be "rough and incomplete," Richard admits they are a very important part of his musical career in terms of composition, theory and inspiration. One notices the subtle implementation of Acoustic Stylings within his latest undertaking with The Knoa, entitled Odyssey In Atrophy. Available to the public by 2007, fans of both Richard Gonyeau and The Knoa eagerly await its release.
